Located centrally in the town of Owani in Aomori, the bright red Daien-ji Temple is worshipped as “Owani’s Dainichi-sama”. The temple enshrines the National Important Cultural Property, “Amida Nyorai Sitting Statue” in the Dai-nichi Hall. The Amida Nyorai Sitting Statue is 4.85 meters tall. The temple is located within walking distance from Owani Onsen Station.
